Fire Extinguisher Change

For the purposes of fleet standardization our customer wished to remove the existing water type Fire Extinguisher on CRJ-200 series aircraft and replace with a Halon unit in accordance with regulations in force and operational requirements.

In this particular case, a Kidde Aerospace Halon Fire Extinguisher PN 898052 replaced Water Fire Extinguisher PN 892480.

Similar modification redesign and certification could also be applied for other extinguishers or equipment on any aircraft types.
