LED Replacement Navigation Lights
FlitePartners Ltd is currently working on providing retrofit LED Navigation Lights to replace the existing incandescent bulb navigation lights.
Replacement LED Navigation Lights offer the following advantages over incandescent lights:
- Reduced power consumption
- Improved life: MTBUR 10,000 to 20,000 hours (reduce departure delays)
- Vibration tolerant
- Reduced heat
Initial projects include B737, ATR42/72, Learjet 60 and DHC Dash8 where the existing incandescent 
bulb assembly is replaced by an LED light assembly. The certification for this modification will be by STC or Minor Mod. Kits to be supplied complete with LED lights, adapter plates, connectors, certification and documentation as required. In most cases the modification time is around 6 to 8 man-hours.
